Throughout our society, we have seen and witnessed many tragedies, ranging from natural disasters, mass shootings, epidemics, and global pandemics. Most often, first responders are sent out to help to restore the lives of those affected by these traumas, but the mental and spiritual health of the survivors is often neglected.  The result is ongoing emotional and spiritual pain that many often do not recover from. 

In the Kingdom Mental Health Association, the Mission Ambassador is activated in times of crisis and dispatched globally where the need arises for the purpose of ministering healing and restoration of the mental health of the recipients. They work on short and/or long-term projects where trauma has occurred and will minister the love of Jesus Christ and heal their wounded souls by the unction of the Holy Spirit.  Kingdom Mental Health Mission Ambassadors function as mental health workers with pastoral, ministerial, and clinical backgrounds and focus on the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of the people they are sent to.  They also make an intentional effort to understand the culture and language of the people they will serve to improve influence and impact.  This team relies on intercessors to lift them up and pray for strategies and allies in the country where they are on assignment and understand that they must be humble, persistent, loving, and have a pure heart towards God’s people.  The work of missionaries is not for the faint of heart and is often tricky, but with the grace of God and a heart to serve, lives will be changed all over the world, and people will learn that mental health is important for physical and spiritual health.
